New Supervisor Orientation

This instructor-led orientation course will provide leaders with the tools and information they need to be successful in their new role as a supervisor. The course will help participants understand their role as a leader at SoCalGas, identify their personal leadership style, and practice strategies for team leadership. The orientation course is the kick-off to the New Supervisor Onboarding Program, and will give participants the opportunity to meet other new supervisors in their learning cohort. (8 hour virtual training across three days.)

Performance Management Conversations

This instructor-led course is the follow up to the eLearning course, and will give leaders the opportunity to discuss performance management situations with their peers, and gain practice through role playing and scenarios. Additionally, break out groups will focus more specifically on performance management requirements for leaders of represented or management employees. (4 hour virtual training.)

Safety Essentials for Supervisors

This instructor led class is the follow up to the safety eLearning, and is facilitated by the Safety Department. It covers all safety topics pertinent to new supervisors, and gives them the opportunity to ask questions of subject matter experts on a variety of topics including ergonomics, hazardous conditions, stop the job, etc. (2 hour virtual training.)
